Microneedling (Dermapen)

Microneedling uses an electronic mechanism to improve overall skin texture and appearance. It penetrates your skin with very fine small needles to create controlled punctures. This will increase the body’s ability to produce more collagen and elastin which provides that firm plumpness. A few days after treatment, epidermal cells begin reproducing and epidermis becomes thicker. Over following months, the skin will progressively tighten as the collagen shortens and becomes more supported. Microneedling helps improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks and creates a rejuvenated skin.

Microneedling treatment tightens and rejuvenate skin. It reduces acne scars, improves wound healing, wrinkles and fine lines. It improves the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

Topical anaesthetic agents are applied on the treatment area 40 minutes prior to the procedure to minimise pain. For better results, hydrating serum is applied at treatment areas during the procedure.

The treatment area will have a mild redness, swelling and red patches for 3-4 days. There is less down time after treatment. The treatment area should not be touched and exposure to sun should be avoided for 2-3 weeks. You should use anti tanning agents for 7 days following the procedure.

You will be provided with detailed instructions on how to prevent infections.

For better results, we would recommend 3-5 sessions in 4-6 week intervals with maintenance treatments every 6-9 months.
